So What Now Pak Lah?!?

March is fast approaching. Time is running out. What options are Malaysians presented with? Can Pak Lah be counted on to do his "Mother of All Flip Flops"? A Flip Flop that will earn the respect of the majority of Malaysians...one that will be applauded by all right thinking Malaysians...TO STAY AND NOT EXIT THE SCENE!

3 days into the Haris Ibrahim-launched "on-line survey" on whether Malaysians want Pak Lah to stay or make way for Najib. At the time of writing 7,421 Malaysians want him to stay. That's a resounding YES by any means - 94%. Only 6% (451) of Malaysians want Najib to succeed him. If this was an election contest, Najib would have lost his deposit.

Common Pak Lah, get real! Malaysians do not want Najib. If you are not convinced, or perhaps you really want to call it a day, allow Malaysians to choose. It is not for you to decide who they want their next Prime Minister to be. Do the country a big favor. So this is your moment...this is your time to do something and leave a lasting impression and impact onto Malaysians and Malaysia. Advise the Agung to dissolve Parliament and call for a snap election. Give Malaysians the opportunity to choose their next Prime Minister. You will forever be remembered and go into the annals of Malaysian history for doing this good and historic deed.

Get out of your slumber Pak Lah. Leave the scene if you want to but as a respected Malaysian leader, not as one that everyone wants to forget. We are counting on you to do the right thing. The clock is ticking and we anxiously await your your most critical and all-important move.
We will stand by and watch.....

Rise Perpatang Pauh Citizens - Malaysia's Future Depends On You

Only 4 days to go and Permatang Pauh citizens will have their say. Either they fall for the old trickery of the obsolete and archaic UMNO/BN dinosaur or they have this rare once in a lifetime chance to prove to all of Malaysia and the world that they are intelligent, mature, wise and again deny UMNO/BN that keeps on trampling on the intelligence, the win. Send them packing and running for cover and make sure they know who the Boss is. That's you Perpatang Pauh citizens. The power is in your hands. I for one am confident that you will "RISE TO THE OCCASION!". Besides, how can you allow your very own pride - the intelligent and charismatic Anwar Ibrahim to be defeated by this unruly, unethical, unconscionable, wicked and un-Islamic UMNO/BN.

Anwar has done much for Permatang Pauh and Malaysia. Anwar has made Malaysia proud though his sheer hard work, charisma and intelligence and has put Malaysia on the world map in the right way and not the wrong way like what his former boss did. His former boss Dr Mahathir said Anwar is a Master of Spin! If Anwar is a Master of Spin, what would Dr Mahathir be? Well, he easily qualifies as the Master of Lies and Deceit...without a fight!

Let me ask you Permatang Pauh citizens? Who would you pick between these 2 choices? Master of Spin or Master of Lies & Deceit? Don't tell me. I already know your answer because I know you are intelligent enough, which UMNO/BN do not think you are.

Look at what Dr Mahathir said in his blog! He condescends you by saying you
padi farmers, food stall holders and hawkers, rubber tappers, Class F contractors that talk in the coffee shops cannot talk at "intellectual" levels. He thinks you do not have the mental ability and capacity to
care about our democracy even if it is not as liberal as the western democracies. To sum it up, he basically insults your intelligence and yet he claims he is your protector. Man...he's got the nerve. Just ignore this senile person who has done more damage to our beloved nation than any other Prime Minister of Malaysia!! Lets just leave him alone in his own world of syiok sendiri.

Then you have the Deputy Prime Minister telling you that the non-Malays have never been mistreated in Malaysia. Boy or boy, he could tell a lie through his teeth...with ease! With absolutely no shame at all. It's second nature to him. Isn't he the one who said that he will bathe the Kris in Chinese blood just before Operation Lallang? Why then does he still need UMALAYSNO? And being its Deputy Presidentat at that? If he is genuinely sincere, he should disband all raced based parties and ban them. Bet you he doesn't have the spunk to do it. Talk is cheap Najib... and the Permatang Pauh citizens are going to teach you a humiliating and humbling lesson.

To add insult to injury, the Kill Joy guy came and said in such an arrogant fashion that he was going to bury Anwar in Permatang Pauh. Bury Anwar? Who are you babe? Aren't you Permatang Pauh citizens angry with this outsider who threatens to bury your own Permatang Pauh son? No, they all haven't changed...typically so arrogant. He's in Permatang Pauh for a refresher as he has not learned from the March 8 political tsunami. Teach this guy a lesson or two on manners. He is so rough, rude, arrogant and a compulsive Kill Joy. Sent him packing Perpatang Pauh brothers & sisters. I know you will.

This is your moment Permatang Pauh citizens. They made you suffer for the last 10 years by incarcerating your favorite son. And they are doing it yet again, with all the manufactured lies and deceits. They have nothing new to offer but more lies and deceits. They even pronounced Anwar "guilty" when the trial has not even begun. Don't they even know that a person is innocent until proven guilty? Did you hear this Ahmad Badawi? You got it all so wrong...by saying that Anwar should prove his innocence. But what can I expect from you anyway?

This is your time...Rise and Bury UMNO/BN for good starting with Permatang Pauh. Do Malaysia this favor and the whole nation will be indebted to you. We will have much to thank you for.

We know you can and we know you will...

Bangsa Malaysia

Haris Ibrahim wrote in his blog, lets "walk the talk" about Bangsa Malaysia. He also re-posted Jayanath Appadurai's "Break the Shackles of Tribal Think", which to me is one helluva article. How apt!

It is my honest belief that categorizing all Malaysians by race or ethnic groups should have NEVER happened in the first place. Sure we cannot turn the clock back but does it not say so little about our leaders past and present of their total absence of understanding in nation building. I may sound harsh or am I being naive here that they have their own selfish ends in mind?

Any country with its peoples divided into racial or ethnic groups is a time bomb and unsustainable.

But unlike so many other things done, at least this one can be UNDONE. Jayanath could not be more right...it begins with us. So with Malaysia's (actually Malaya's) 51st birthday around the corner, it is time for us to renew this pledge that we will now bury the shackles once and for all (after breaking them last year).

It starts with us. We are not going to identify any of our fellow citizen by their race or ethnic group anymore. And we will continue the march and vote all those who see Malaysians as just that...Malaysians. And for those who do not, we will vote them out. Our chance today begins with Anwar Ibrahim. When he finally comes to power, he will have to institutionalize it. We would expect him to introduce laws banning identifying Malaysians by race i.e. there should not even be any space allocated to race in any form or document including the Malaysian Identity Card.

Not too long ago, Australia was (note my tense) such a racist country with its "White Australia Policy". But look at what it is doing today. In Australian schools, students are banned from identifying each other by race like , "That Indian boy..."; "Oh you mean the Chinese fourth grader...", etc. They must now describe the appearance or looks of the person for example, "That dark skinned boy with large eyes..."; "Oh you mean the fair complexioned boy..." (Sure there will always be a small minority that would remain racists).

Shame on us Malaysia!

Our hopes now lie with Anwar. And if he does not heed our aspirations, he will fall victim to our "no vote" and we will look for another leader with the moral courage and political will to do what we aspire. We will not give up our endeavour to achieve this goal where we are ONE NATION and ONE PEOPLE. We will also expect the constitution to be amended where even the special position has to be removed. 51 years and 2 generations later, the special position has not created what it was set out to do and no amount of extra time is going to do it. I recognized the likes of Raja Petra, Haris Ibrahim, Dr Azly Rahman, Din Merican and M Bakri Musa, to name a few know that the whole concept of this special position has proven counter productive. If nothing else, it has weakened that very group that the special position status intended to make them strong. What a shame! At least they are not the products of this special position.

Alright, let us all work hard to get Anwar back into Parliament and continue his march to form a new Government of Malaysia. Our Permatang Pauh brothers and sisters have this unique opportunity to make this happen and show to the current government of the day that their time is up...real soon.

Permatang Pauh brothers and sisters...you can count on us for absolute moral support.

Malaysia's Defining Moment

Here we go again....August 26 is nigh. It will be THE defining day for Malaysia and the Permatang Pauh voters will have THE very unique opportunity to trigger a permanent change to not only the face of Malaysian politics but MOST IMPORTANTLY, the face of Malaysia. It is time (long overdue actually) for a Malaysia Renewal.

Say NO to communal politics, so NO to Malay supremacy, So NO to Supremacy of any race or ethnic group, say NO to Divide and Rule, Say NO to patronage politics and say NO to all the rubbish and crap we have had this last 51 years....A RESOUNDING NO TO UMNO & BN. Malaysians are counting on their Permatang Pauh countrymen to dump UMNO & BN into the garbage bins of Malaysian history. So fellow Permatang Pauh countrymen - Don't let your fellow countrymen down and we know we can count on you. Syabas....we know you will do what we expect of you and we envy you since we do not have the chance that you do.

Starting August 27, we can all then begin a journey to remake Malaysia and reclaim it from those who have hijacked it away from us. We are all equal before the law and to the religious, we are all equal before the Creator. No religion teaches one group to be superior to the other and worse yet, institutionlizing it.

I was a follower of Anwar Ibrahim during my university days but abandoned him when he joined UMNO. It was the saddest day for all the followers of Anwar and until today most of us could not believe how he could join UMNO & BN when he was fighting for justice all the time. Cruel as it may sound, the firing and torturing of Anwar have taught him a bitter lesson I believe. I guess some people have to learn the hard way and we too have gone through similar episodes in our lives though they may not be to the same degree that he did.

And now, we believe he is a CHANGED MAN. At least judging by his speeches, etc. Though we still could not predict the future with Anwar Ibrahim, but we are willing to give him a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance and so does Anwar Ibrahim. After all, the WORST of Anwar Ibrahim is still BETTER than the BEST of any UMNO or BN man. We know what he is capable of and would like to begin this new journey with him for our beloved land . After all, if he screws up, we will kick him out in the next election. The power is still with us.

So once again, fellow Permatang Pauh countrymen, do what Malaysians want you to. Send your favorite son back to Parliament and we will be there with you and Anwar all the way.

Happy Voting on August 26!

Debut

Hi Everyone,

I am a pure Malaysian living abroad. This is my debut in blogging and I am not quite there yet. I guess like all first-timers, there will be obstacles to surmount, but spare me some understanding if I falter as I go through the learning curve. I am confident that given time, I would be able to catch up on the seasoned bloggers.

A bit about me: I live in the Philippines and is now in my 10th year here. There are so many reasons why I left for the Philippines, but we will save that for my future write-ups as I keep on blogging.

Well, the purpose of this blog is to give a third opinion on the goings-on in Malaysia at least a view from the outside. How do we Malaysians living abroad look at our beloved country and how we can share with you what foreigners especially the ones we live with here think of Malaysia. These views may not be without prejudices, but hey, they are still views worth listening. We are living in a free world and everyone has a right to express their view or opinions, not matter how much we disagree with them.

So here I am....a debutant. Will post an article soon...
